Symphonic Wind Ensemble is open to students in grades 10-12. Members are strongly encouraged to audition for Mid-State and All-State organizations (specific class requirements available at the beginning of each term) and to prepare music for the Solo and Ensemble festival. Opportunities for several other honor bands exist and the performance expectations are very high. Occasionally, rehearsals may be scheduled after school. While these rehearsals are required, they will be announced well in advance (at least 2 weeks) and those with prior commitments (not work) will be excused. A variety of concert related experiences are available each term.
